Reef Raider is a NetEnt cluster-pays slot released in August 2021 on a 7x7 grid. NetEnt lists an RTP of 96.10% and a maximum payout of 8,700x the bet. Clam Wilds charge the 15-bar Treasure Trail, which unlocks Anchor Drop, Random Wilds, Mystery Chest, Cannon Blast and finally Free Spins.
Reef Raider has the most moving parts of any slot on this site, so start with the demo. Play with credits until you have seen the meter fill a few times and you know what each threshold does. You cannot withdraw anything won in demo mode.
The paid game uses identical rules. NetEnt's bet range is €0.20 to €100 per spin; rupee options vary by casino.
The 7x7 grid is set on a coral reef full of sunken pirate loot. There are no paylines: clusters of matching symbols that touch each other pay, then disappear in an Avalanche, and new symbols fall into the gaps. NetEnt gives a hit frequency of 33%.
When a winning cluster contains at least 3 medium or low symbols, a Clam Wild replaces one of the removed symbols before the next drop. Each Clam Wild that later goes in a cluster win charges one bar of the Treasure Trail around the grid.
NetEnt lists an RTP of 96.10% and a maximum payout of 8,700 times the bet; Evolution rates the volatility as mid and also lists a 95.10% version. Open the game's info screen to see which version your casino runs. A one-point difference sounds small, but over ₹10,000 of bets it is ₹100 of expected return.
The Treasure Trail has 15 bars, and each threshold fires a feature:
| Charged bars | Feature | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Anchor Drop | Removes every symbol of 1 to 3 low-paying types |
| 6 | Random Wilds | Places 4 to 8 Wild Coins on the grid |
| 9 | Mystery Chest | Turns 2 to 16 medium or low symbols into Mystery symbols, which are then revealed |
| 12 | Cannon Blast | Removes a random symbol plus all medium and low symbols in its row and column |
| 15 | Free Spins | Starts the bonus round; every 3 extra bars add 2 spins |
Free Spins begin with a Mystery Overlay: five Mystery symbols in a cross reveal a winning cluster, and new Mystery symbols that land next to it join the cluster until the round ends. In free spins the meter keeps working, and a full meter adds an extra spin.
