How to Start Betting
Every new Bons customer has to register and complete a few first steps before betting. To place the first bet:
- Register. Open the official Bons site and click the green Sign Up button. Enter your date of birth, email, phone number and postal details and choose the currency. INR is one of 15 supported currencies, so players from India have no trouble with payments. Details are in our Bons login and registration guide.
- Confirm your email. Bons sends a code to activate the account.
- Deposit. The Cashier offers 14 payment methods, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Tether and Cardano, cards, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz and AstroPay; see Bons deposits and withdrawals.
- Pick a sport. In the Sports section, choose a sport from the list on the left, then a competition and a match.
- Add a selection. Compare the odds and the probability of each outcome and click the one you want. It goes to the bet slip on the right.
- Set the stake and confirm. Adjust the amount in the Bet Slip before the event starts and place the bet. You can follow it under your bet history.
Decimal odds are the simplest format: multiply stake by odds. A ₹500 bet at 2.10 returns ₹1,050, which is ₹550 profit. Bons also offers American, Hong Kong, Indonesian and Malaysian formats.
Bons Betting Options
The Sports section splits Bons bets into Live (matches in progress) and the line of upcoming events. There are 42 sports categories in total; the number after each name shows how many upcoming or live matches are open. The most popular categories in India are cricket, tennis, handball, soccer, basketball, beach volleyball, MMA, floorball and esports such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike, StarCraft, Dota 2 and Rocket League.
Cricket
Cricket is the sport most Indian players open first. Markets you can expect on a typical match:
- Match winner. Back either team.
- Tie or no tie. Predict whether the match ends level.
- Toss winner. A pure 50-50 market on the coin toss.
- Top batsman and top bowler. Pick the player with the most runs or wickets for a team.
- Totals and live markets. Over or under a line for total runs, sixes or fours, and next-over runs updated ball by ball.
Rain and shortened matches can void some cricket markets; the Bons betting rules explain how they are settled.
Football, tennis and esports
Football (including FIFA esports) adds Handicap, Double Chance, Each Team to Score and Total markets to the match result. Tennis has match and set winners, game handicaps and totals. Esports such as Dota 2 are priced by map and by match. The structure of each market type is described on the betting rules page.
Bet types and live betting
Bons offers single bets, combos (several selections that must all win), system bets (a set of combos that can pay even if some selections lose), one-click quick bets and live bets during the match. Live odds change fast, and a bet can be rejected if the price moves before you confirm.
